Fríoluz

The Atlantic gateway for your fresh or frozen product

We are the largest refrigerated warehouse in the Canary Islands.

Warehouse, IPC and PCF in close proximity to each other, maximum efficiency

At Frioluz we concentrate everything your cold chain needs in a single port enclave. Here, just a few metres from the quay, our high-capacity temperature-controlled warehouse (frozen and refrigerated), the Port Inspection Centre (CIP-PCF) and official in-house bodies coexist. This integration eliminates unnecessary transfers, reduces the risk of thermal breakage and speeds up each phase of the process: we unload, inspect and release your goods at the same point, in record time. The result is leaner, safer and more efficient logistics that minimises costs and maximises product freshness when it arrives at its destination.

Large capacity

We have a capacity of up to 8,000 pallets. Thanks to this infrastructure, we offer an agile, efficient service adapted to the specific needs of each client in the preparation and management of goods. In addition, we offer support during overflow periods in your warehouse.

Inspection Management (CIP and PCF)

The aim is to bring together all the inspection services at a strategic point in the capital's port. This has speeded up Customs' own procedures and, consequently, has streamlined the traffic of goods, reducing the associated costs and optimising the quality of the service, which in turn has led to the attraction of a greater volume of traffic.

Reducing our carbon footprint

We have installed 2,135 solar panels and thanks to this installation, we generate 1,600 mW/h in self-consumption regime (850 kW), which allows us to avoid the emission of more than 805 tonnes of CO₂ per year.

Services

360º refrigerated logistics. Comprehensive coverage without leaving the port

Our services promote efficiency, lower costs and zero surprises.

01

Temperature-controlled storage

We have 13 cold stores with a total capacity of 66,000 m³ and temperature ranges between -23 °C and between +2 and +6 ° C. We have loading docks, offer direct unloading and express cross-docking, guaranteeing fast and safe rotation for all types of goods.

02

Port Inspection Centre (CIP-PCF)

Located in the same enclave, the Port Inspection Centre (CIP) and the Border Control Post (PCF) allow official Customs, SOIVRE and Health inspections to be carried out without the need for land transportation. This speeds up the process and keeps the cold chain intact, reducing clearance time.

03

Value Added Services

Sorting, handling and other services. We carry out labelling, wrapping and palletising. All under HACCP systems and professional supervision, optimising the time-to-market of your products.

Authorisations

Customs formalities that streamline your operations

Frioluz is authorised as ADT, Warehouse A, Warehouse REF, EU Transit Consignee, immobilised and bait warehouse. These figures allow us to operate with maximum efficiency in inspections, taxation and rotation of goods, avoiding transfers and reducing dispatch times.

Temporary Deposit Warehouse (TDW)

We store goods that have not been cleared and are awaiting customs clearance, with the deadlines established by law. The deadlines are as follows: if the goods arrive by sea, they will have 45 days and the rest of the goods will have 20 days.

Customs Warehouse Type A

This exempt area allows us to store goods from outside the EU indefinitely without incurring any type of tax. This type of warehouse is ideal for companies importing high value goods with a medium or low turnover, as it allows them to defer payment.

Consignee for EU transit

Storage of goods originating in the EU, obtained within the customs territory of the Union, without incorporating products imported from outside the customs territory of the Union. These goods have been introduced and released for free circulation, or have been obtained from other goods fulfilling these conditions.

Immobilisation store

Immobilisation is the procedure whereby, prior to release for free circulation, a consignment of products of animal or non-animal origin from third countries is placed under the supervision of the Inspection Body of the Health Area. During this time, the goods cannot be handled and are detained until the health controls are completed or the laboratory results are received.

Bait store

Storage of wrapped or packaged bait intended for use as fishing bait provided that its traceability and non-importation into the territory of the EU can be guaranteed.

REF Deposit

Storage of goods for an unlimited period of time without having to pay the REF (Economic Tax Regime of the Canary Islands Government) taxes payable on the importation of goods, as long as they remain included in the deposit regime.

Bulk storage

We have authorisation for the bulk storage of frozen products, such as fish and seafood, without the need for individual packaging. This method optimises space, reduces logistics costs and speeds up the handling and rotation of the product.

Facilities

Advanced dockside logistics infrastructure

We have an infrastructure designed to offer complete, efficient and safe refrigerated solutions in a single logistics point, right inside the Port of La Luz. Our facilities combine three strategic elements that work in synchronisation.

Cold store

With 13 cold rooms with a total capacity of 66,000 m³, we manage temperatures between -23 °C and between +2 and +6 °C. We offer storage of palletised products in various formats, with capacity for up to 8,000 pallets, both refrigerated and frozen. We adapt to the needs of wholesalers and retailers, providing agile, secure and customised solutions.

Port Inspection Centre (CIP-PCF)

Official Customs, Animal and Plant Health inspections are carried out in the same area without the need for long overland transfers. Our automated flow allows the release of goods in record time.

Sustainability

Cold logistics, reducing our carbon footprint

In our commitment to sustainability, we have installed 2,135 solar panels on the four roofs of our warehouse, facing east and west to maximise solar gain throughout the day.

Thanks to this installation, we generate 1,600 mW/h in self-consumption mode (850 kW), which allows us to avoid the emission of more than 805 tonnes of CO₂ per year.
A positive impact on the planet equivalent to 27,000 trees absorbing CO₂ for a full year.

We continue to move towards a cleaner and more responsible energy model.
In addition, we have liability insurance and offer goods insurance, ensuring that your goods are protected at all times, from arrival to dispatch.

Certification

Audited quality, confidence without excuses

We are ISO 9001:2015 certified for the storage of refrigerated, frozen and dry goods for both human and non-human consumption. We are also accredited for the support service for the management of inspections and operation of our Port Inspection Centre (PIC) and Border Control Post (BCP) facilities.
